Farm Field Day A Success!

Our gratitude to everyone of you who helped make the 2026 farm field day go well! We appreciate those who came, those who sent encouragement even though they couldn’t come, those who worked hard on preparations, and those who worked behind the scenes spreading the word.

Gary grilled the chicken to perfection with the help of his team, and served it directly off the grill. Our guests brought an amazing selection of delicious and healthy dishes, and we served lemonade and water. Everything went together so well.

The weather was absolutely beautiful. I don’t think we could have asked for a better day. We enjoyed reconnecting with old friends and making new friends. I think some people weren’t really sure why they were here, but they had a good time, also. It was a pleasant time for visiting.

Jim gave a demonstration of a chicken hoop house move, and moving pastured beef to a new pasture, with the help of our farm manager, Emily, and helper Josh. Then Jim continued with a description of how things are run on the farm, and the challenges we face, answering questions as he went.

Besides farm information and delicious food, we also had games available, badminton, volleyball, kick ball, to name a few. These were enjoyed by young and old. There was a drawing for a basket of frozen chicken products, and a contest to see who could guess how long Jim and JudyJo had been married, also for some chicken.

We appreciate and consider precious every one of you. Thanks, again!!
