Fresh Chicken for Sale Dates; Farm Field Day Coming in August

You may not know ...

that once upon a time we had a Farm Field Day for our customers. Back then, 2003, we grew lots of sweet corn and we cooked up a batch, along with chicken on the grill. We also made homemade ice cream with fresh milk from our cow.

We no longer have a cow, and we grow very little sweet corn, but we think it is high time that we invite our customers out to the farm for a taste of chicken, and a farm tour.  The first Saturday in August is our tentative date. We have asked Doug "chicken man" from the Metropolitan Farmer Restaurant to come and cook a scrumptious meal for you. In addition to a "free lunch", this is your opportunity to check out our farm, see how we raise the poultry and beef, mingle with like-minded people, and ask anything you want about our farming operation. When you choose local food over a national brand, transparency becomes very accessible. 

It is our way of saying thanks for supporting this solar fueled, grass-based poultry and beef farm. Your positive reinforcement, in the form of emails, cards, and spoken words, encourages us to keep on keeping on.

Fresh chickens for sale Tuesday (farm) and Wednesday (Mansfield & Springfield), June 27/28

Our chicken will be for sale again fresh on Tuesday and Wednesday. Between our sale dates, you may purchase them frozen at the farm, or fresh or frozen at one of the fine stores that carry our chicken products, (for stores, see the bottom of the Locations tab on our website: Location Link).

FRESH CHICKEN SCHEDULE:
Peace Valley: Tuesday, June 27, 3-6 p.m., on the farm
Mansfield: Wednesday, June 28, call for time and to let us know you are coming. 
Springfield: Wednesday, June 28, noon till 1 p.m. 
Rolla: We hope to come once a month, or so. Call or email for information.
