An Apprenticeship Complete
Talk about keeping his nose to the grindstone, Isaiah Graves, last season’s intern, never stopped working hard! With perseverance and diligence, Isaiah jumped in and soaked up every chance he could to learn. He even had a little fun doing it all! We are so thankful.
Seeking an education in sustainable farming, Isaiah joined us here at Peace Valley Poultry in May last year. Isaiah hails from Washington State where he is the eldest of 9 children. This undoubtedly shaped him into the dependable, flexible and responsible man he is today.
A friend recently asked Isaiah if he’d recommend this internship and this was his response. We hope it will be an encouragement to anyone looking to do the same.
“I highly recommend this internship for anyone interested in farming. Jim is more than willing to share what he knows and you sure do get your knowledge worth out of it all. My faith in God has also been strengthened here and I’m thankful for that especially.”
Prior to coming to Peace Valley Poultry, Isaiah was an intern for a grass-fed dairy in New York. Excitingly, Isaiah was selected for an internship at well-known Polyface Farms where he expects to start in May 2020. He hopes these experiences will springboard him into a future in sustainable agriculture. We wish you all the best Isaiah!
